Yanchep

I am so glad I have my Garmin GPS - it makes life so easy for me.  I was setting off for Dongara, via Yanchep National Park.  I had hoped to go on the cave tour as I had been there years ago on a visit with Girl Guides, but alas, I was there too late for the morning tour, and as I had a four hour or so drive back to Dongara, the afternoon tour did not suit either.  Darn!!  I did visit the koala compound, and wandered around.

How relaxed is this Koala?

Walkway through the bush.

The lake - more a swamp now as the water has dried up.
The koala compound is interesting.  There is a walk way through the compound and the koalas are in trees, and the walls of the compound are such that it is difficult for them to 'escape'.  It certainly is a beautiful park with plenty to see, including some heritage buildings.  It was very hot - and I walked around for a while before retreating to my air conditioned car, my beloved Mitsubishi Lancer, and going back a little to the turn off to the Yanchep Beach area, and then on to Two Rocks before heading out to the highway again, and turning north.

Didn't see any!!!!  Snakes I mean.

Swimming lessons on the beach at Yanchep

At Two Rocks from the marina.
